Greenford Christian Church has always cared about children in need in our surrounding communities, and more importantly, how we can support them. Starting Sunday, April 6th, we’re launching a project to encourage children in the foster care/adoption system who often face uncertainty and instability, by creating cozy and comforting tie blankets. A simple blanket can provide not only warmth but a sense of security, reminding them that they are loved and cared for.
And we invite you to join us in this mission! The only skill set you will need is operating a pair of scissors!
You can participate in 3 different ways…
One. Sign up to join us for our Knot Your Average Blanket event held on our in-person campuses from May 14 -17th (where we will be making blankets from kits that will then be distributed to foster children in our area). Two. If you are unable to join in person, we have take-home kits available for pick up in the lobby Sunday, April 6th and Sunday, April 13th. You can also stop in at the Greenford Campus main office to grab a kit during the week, 9am – 3pm, through Thursday, May 15th. Grab kits to use with your family, friends or small group and return the finished blankets to us,
