Our Children’s Ministry provides safe, fun and loving environments where children aged
Infant – 5th Grade discover who God is, how much He loves them, and how they can follow
Jesus in their everyday lives.
Through age-appropriate bible stories, engaging activities, and exciting worship, we
help kids DISCOVER that God created them and wants a relationship with them. We
create a safe space for kids to explore the Bible to help them GROW in their
understanding of who God is and who God says they are. Then we CONNECT them to
consistent, Small Group Leaders who love God and want to help kids understand their
need for a Savior and their part in God’s Story.

We know visiting a new church with kids can feel overwhelming, so here’s what you can expect:

Age-appropriate classrooms designed just for your child. GCC Kids is comprised of 4 unique environments for your kids: Nursery (0-2yrs), Preschool (3yrs-K), Elementary (1st -3rd Gr) and Preteen (4th -5th Gr).
Biblical teaching presented in a way kids can understand and apply.
Fun activities & worship that reinforce God’s truth.
Safe pick-up process so you can relax and enjoy the service. If you happen to misplace your guardian sticker, you will have to provide your driver’s license when picking up your child.
If your child needs you at any point, we’ll send you a text so keep your phone silenced but within view during the service.

CREATIVE BIBLE TEACHING
The Bible is the most amazing book ever written! We bring Bible stories to life through activities and conversations that keep children engaged. We want all children to love God’s Word and understand its value in their lives.
RELATIONSHIPS
We want every child to feel known, seen, loved and heard. We understand that discipleship happens at the rate of relationships. When kids know that they are cared about and loved, they can trust that what we are teaching them is truth and will feel comfortable asking questions.
AGE APPROPRIATENESS
Everything from our environments, the language we use in our lessons, to games, crafts, toys, activities, and team time conversations are created with the child’s age and stage in mind.
SAFETY
We love our kids and take lots of steps to ensure their safety. Clean environments,
electronic check-in, standardized check-out procedures, thorough volunteer screening
and continued volunteer training are all ways we keep kids safe.
FUN
Kids learn best when it’s wrapped in fun, so we don’t shy away from being silly, and sharing laughs.
OUR PROGRAMS
Sundays – During each Sunday service, children are placed in age-appropriate environments where they experience worship, Bible teaching, and activities designed just for them.
Epic Nights (Hosted at Greenford Campus only) – Children aged 1st – 5th grade gather on Wednesday evenings during the school
year from 6:30-8p for high-energy, relational, life-changing experiences designed to help them grow in their faith.Special Events – Throughout the year, we offer special events designed to reinforce faith and build lasting friendships.
Day camp for kids – Entering 1st -3rd Grade in the fall.
Overnight camp – at Elkhorn Valley CSC for kids entering 2nd -5th Grade in the fall.
Family nights – and seasonal celebrations.
PARTNERING WITH PARENTS
We believe parents are the primary influencers of their child’s faith and we consider it a privilege to partner with you. We’re in this together! GCC Kids offers the following events or resources to help you make the most of their formative years.
Dedication Celebration is more than just a commitment to raise your child to know and love the Lord. It’s also an opportunity for the church to come alongside you, to support you, and to pray for you and your child. This meaningful event is held in the Spring and in the Fall. Information will be available leading up to the events.
GCC Moms Group was created so that moms could build relationships with other moms who seek to raise their children in a Christian manner. It is a safe, fun space for moms to enjoy authentic relationships, receive encouragement, love and support. CURRENT SCHEDULE shows current PDF of meeting times & locations.
Baptism Resources: Is your child asking questions about baptism? We’re so thrilled to celebrate this exciting milestone with you! Baptism is one of the most important decisions your child will ever make, and we’re here to support you every step of the way. Online Lessons: We know that sickness, family events, and extra-curricular activities can sometimes make it impossible to attend on a Sunday morning. We’ve got you covered. All our Sunday morning lessons are available online for kids aged Preschool through Preteen.

WANT TO MAKE KINGDOM IMPACT?
We believe ministry is done best in the context of relationships, and we know that our influence combined with a parent’s influence is the best way to encourage kids to grow in their relationship with Jesus.
You don’t have to have a ministerial degree or pass a theological aptitude test. You don’t even have to have a reputation of being the coolest dude or dudette! All you need to do is be willing to step forward and say, “I’m here God, use me!” Be committed, show up, pour out kindness & love, be open to silliness, smiles & hugs, unexpected laughs and conversations about… well, anything. If you do, we can guarantee that you’ll not only have fun, but you’ll experience the sweet joy of knowing that God is using you to impact the hearts of kids for eternity!
